Jeb, I don't want to alter this remarkable picture you've painted for us, so I'll keep my reply short and sweet. Connecting in this space undoubtedly creates a different dynamic, and it allows us to feel our way through stories we may never have noticed or acknowledged before. Interactions bring new meaning to evolution. I think it is up to us to hold this space to the highest standards, and outlive the quacking promoters and the serial haters.

By highlighting individuals *and* the collective, you've recognized the balance we need to maintain -- creating ourselves within the larger context. Thank you, as always, for a comment that takes the discussion to a whole new level.

I have this vision, Zoe, of a billion little pixels, thousands of miles between us, but bridging this gap by connecting our respective dots, taking our place in the collective picture of humanity. No more stereotypes to separate you from me. No more misconceptions. And with them goes the fear that breeds hatred and division. Because I can talk to you and Richard and KT and Ryan and Detlef and a thousand others, and you all, in turn, a thousand more, our differences are discovered, and we realize their purpose is not to separate one from another, but rather to appreciate. To foster respect for individuality in a way that the world has never seen.

Social media's highest and best use has nothing to do with increasing consumption, improving business. No. At its very best, social media, I firmly believe, will save us all. As individuals first, and from this, as a people.

You keep doing your part Zoe. Your community will continue to show up and help you down the path. It's our path, too, after all.
